![]() ![]() That's why I decided not to tune mine, I originally wanted to. It's kind of a crapshoot, unfortunately.Īgain, I'm not an expert, but with the LTG I would strongly suggest playing it safe and getting a tune where you can monitor everything and get revised tune files via remote tune logging, etc. And the early models are getting up there in age and mileage, and who knows how the previous owner treated it in the aforementioned regards. Between using the right gas, the right oil, using colder plugs, not lugging the motor, having a balanced tune, etc.there is a lot to consider in keeping the motor running within safe parameters. ![]() Just wondering if anyone else has tried any of the chips and had any luck with them I bought the same and am returning it. From what I have gathered this platform has major potential, but it is on the more delicate side. (I know this because I drive his truck for work some times) I purchased the Thorton stage 3 performance chip and have ran it for 600 miles now and haven't seen any change. I'm no expert, but apparently there is no "one size fits all" with an LTG tune. Even with stock motors having blown it means you have to be careful. I have to drive about hundred and fifty miles driving on. There are just so many variables with 2.0T engine failures it seems, albeit it being mass produced. 116 Dislike Share Smokin Metal CarFun 376 subscribers Ill be posting another video about the Thorton chip tuning soon. ![]()
